Most Valuable Goalie Award (MVG)
in Honour of Maela Holmes - Brock Jr Badger Goalie
The Most Valuable Goalie Award honours the memory of Maela Holmes, a beloved and cherished member of the Brock Jr. Badgers family who passed away in 2022. Maela was a dedicated goaltender who truly embodied and represented everything we value in the game, heart, determination, resilience, and unwavering spirit of support for her teammates.
Maela believed in doing the next right thing, a simple reminder to always lead with effort, attitude, act with integrity, kindness, and heart. This award continues that legacy by recognizing the goalie in each age group and division who truly plays with heart, grit, determination, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a genuine love for the game. The one who keeps battling until the final whistle and continues to lift her teammates, no matter the outcome.
