It’s that time of year again. Badgerfest 2024 and with that the Most Valuable Goalie award. The MVG award is in honour of Maela Holmes, a member of the Jr. Brock Badgers family who died in 2022. Maela was a goalie with the Jr. Badgers and exemplified what it meant to be a good teammate and friend. This award will be given to a goalie in each age group and division who demonstrates traits such as fair play, sportsmanship, teamwork, and an overall love of the game. At the end of each game, the referees will select a goalie to receive a point. At the end of the divison’s four games, the goalie(s) who has accumulated the most points will receive the MVG puck.

REFS: The MVG point is to be awarded to the goalie in the game that meets the set criteria. That is; Sportsmanship, hardest worker, does NOT have to win the game or have a shutout, fair play.

RULES: The refs vote on the goalie of that game and award the point. They advise the scorekeeper. At the end of the 4 games, the goalie with the highest tally in that age and division will be award the MVG. This will presented on the last game before the finals or semis, whichever comes first.

SCOREKEEPERS: Please write the name and team of the MVG for that game on the sheets provided.
