About the St. Catharines Female Hockey Association (SCFHA)
The St. Catharines Female Hockey Association (SCFHA) is proud to be part of the fastest-growing sport in North Americaβgirls' hockey! Since its introduction in 1995 under St. Catharines CYO Minor Hockey, the girls' hockey program has grown steadily, becoming the only all-female hockey association in St. Catharines, offering both House League and Rep (Travel) programs for girls aged 4 to 21 years.
Our History & Growth
π 1995 β The Girls' Hockey Program was introduced under St. Catharines CYO Minor Hockey.
π 2008 β The Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA) officially sanctioned the merger of the St. Catharines CYO Chaos Rep Hockey Association and the St. Catharines CYO Girls House League, forming the St. Catharines Female Hockey Association (SCFHA).
π 2018-2019 Season β The Senior Division (22+ years old) was introduced, allowing female players to continue enjoying the game beyond U22.
π Today β SCFHA is home to hundreds of players, coaches, and volunteers, building a strong, competitive, and inclusive hockey community.
SCFHA House League Program
π For girls aged 4 to 21+ (as of December 31 of the playing year)
π Senior Division for women 22 and older
π One of the largest all-female hockey programs in the region

- March β Season concludes with our House League Championship Weekend (Super Sunday)

π House league practices are held on Saturdays, and games take place on Sundays, as allocated by the City of St. Catharines.
π House League teams share the ice for practices, fostering a collaborative and team-focused development environment.
