Grace in Goal: A Rising Star with Heart, Hustle, and Hope

Grace Robitaille: A Rising Star on and off the Ice

Grace Robitaille’s journey is nothing short of extraordinary. A dedicated student-athlete from St. Catharines, Ontario, Grace has consistently demonstrated that success stems from passion, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. As she moves forward in her athletic career, recently securing a coveted spot on the Toronto Leaside Junior Wildcats U22AA team, her accomplishments stand as a testament to her hard work and bright future.

From her early beginnings with the Brock Junior Badgers to AP roles with the Stoney Creek Junior Sabres, Grace has proven herself as a force in elite women’s hockey. Now entering her 10th season of club play, she has shown growth at every level, continuously honing her skills through camps and showcases across North America, including the Beantown Classic, OWHA Provincials, and the Clarkson University Prospect Camp, where she led her team with only one goal against across two victories.

Grace is not only a standout goaltender but also a dedicated student and respected leader. At Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School, she has served on Student Council for two years, first as Grade 9 Rep and now as Grade 10 Rep, after holding the title of Prime Minister at Jeanne Sauvé Public School. She’s earned multiple accolades, including the 2024/25 Kristen French Memorial Scholarship, recognizing her for academic excellence, school spirit, and leadership, qualities that mirror those of the scholarship's namesake.

Her school achievements don’t stop there. Grace has consistently been on the honor roll, and in 2023, she was named Citizen of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year, and was an active member of the Technovation coding group. Her impact in both athletics and academics showcases a well-rounded individual with the drive to succeed in every arena she steps into.

Outside the rink and classroom, Grace’s love for sport expands across basketball, volleyball, cross country, and rowing, where she took first place at the 2023 CSSRA Novice 8 Boat Championship. Her long-time commitment to training, off-ice with The Greatness Club formerly known as Athletes Farm Niagara, and mentally and nutritionally with Mia Landry, illustrates her holistic approach to success.

In her own words, Grace sums up her philosophy perfectly: “I always show up to the rink with a smile, positive attitude, and aspire to bring my best. Not only do I push myself to reach my full potential, I also want to see my peers reach theirs.” This attitude of mutual growth and positivity is what sets her apart.

The Brock Jr Badgers organization is incredibly proud of Grace and everything she has accomplished. Watching her evolve from a young player in their program to now joining the Toronto Leaside Junior Wildcats is a moment of immense pride for the entire community. They commend her for her relentless effort, team spirit, and leadership, and they wholeheartedly wish her continued success as she takes the next step in her hockey career. Her legacy with the Badgers will continue to inspire future generations of athletes for years to come.
