The NHL/NHLPA FIRST SHIFT program is designed to create a positive, welcoming, and fun introduction to hockey for new-to-hockey families. Our goal is to provide a stress-free and enjoyable experience that showcases the best parts of Canada’s favorite sport.
Through this program, we aim to:
✅ Remove intimidation around equipment, rules, and safety
✅ Make hockey affordable, accessible, and inclusive
✅ Help kids develop skills and confidence on the ice
✅ Create an unforgettable first hockey experience!
This is the perfect opportunity for kids who have never played hockey before to get started in a fun, structured, and supportive environment—and fall in love with the game!

WHAT TO EXPECT
🏒 Welcome Event – Meet the coaches, try on gear, and get excited!
🏒 6 On-Ice Sessions – Learn the basics of hockey in a fun, encouraging setting.
🏒 All Equipment Included – Everything your child needs to play is provided!
🏒 Expert Coaching & Guidance – Support from trained instructors and volunteers.
🌟 No prior skating or hockey experience is required! This program is designed for beginners and focuses on having fun, learning new skills, and building confidence on the ice.
