Where it all began...
Today’s the day! Excited for the @pwhpa game tonight and to be watching SCFHA Hall of Famer alexa.vasko coming home to where it all began for her. SCFHA will be well represented tonight with the majority of our players being in attendance and cheering her and her fellow teammates on!
Tonight's game will also feature another St. Catharines professional hockey player bjenner19 returning to where the dream began for her playing 9 years of minor hockey here that instilled a passion for the game in her.
These top female hockey players will also be joined with some of the best women’s hockey players from around the world and will be lacing up at the Meridian Centre, as the Niagara IceDogs will be hosting a PWHPA game between Team Sonnet and Team Adidas.
The PWHPA mission is to promote, advance, and support a single, viable, professional women’s ice hockey league in North America that showcases the greatest product of women’s professional ice hockey in the world. PWHPA’s vision for such a league to be created, so today’s female superstars can inspire tomorrow’s young female athletes to believe in a future where a professional hockey career is possible.
